You upload a photo of your pet. A few days later, that same photo arrives at your door printed on a mug, tee, or canvas. What happens in between? Here's the full journey — from your phone to your doorstep.

Step by Step: The Full Journey

You Upload the Photo

Go to the Personalise page, pick your product, and upload a clear photo of your pet. The photo goes securely to our servers via Cloudinary — a professional image hosting service used by companies like Dropbox and Canva.

You Complete Your Order

Choose your size, enter your pet's name, fill in your address and pay — either online (UPI, card, net banking) or cash on delivery. The whole checkout takes under 3 minutes.

AI Removes the Background

Once your order is confirmed, our system automatically sends your photo through an AI background removal model. The result is a clean, transparent cutout of just your pet — no messy white boxes around the edges.

The Design Gets Composed

Your pet's clean cutout is placed onto a high-resolution print template — the correct dimensions for your specific product. Your pet's name is added in the font and colour you chose. The final design file is saved to Cloudinary.

Sent to the Print Facility

The design file URL is automatically submitted to Qikink — one of India's largest print-on-demand facilities. Qikink handles the actual printing, quality checking, and packaging. Nothing is printed speculatively — every product is made fresh for your specific order.

Printed, Packed, and Shipped

Qikink prints your product using professional DTG (Direct-to-Garment) for apparel, or UV printing for hard products like mugs and keychains. It's then packed and handed to a courier. You get a tracking number via WhatsApp.

Delivered to Your Door

5–7 business days from order. Metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai) often arrive in 4–5 days. You can track your order anytime on the Track Order page.

What Makes a Good Photo?

The quality of the final print is only as good as the photo you upload. Here's what works best:

Clear and in focus — blurry photos print blurry
Good lighting — natural daylight is ideal, avoid heavy shadows across the face
Face forward — a portrait where you can see both eyes clearly works best
Minimum 800×800 pixels — the bigger the original file, the crisper the print
Simple background — makes the AI background removal cleaner and faster

Pro tip: The best photos for printing are taken in natural daylight, outdoors or near a window, with the pet looking toward the camera. Even a decent smartphone photo works perfectly if the lighting is good.

Why Print-on-Demand?

What Happens if the Print Isn't Right?
